FIM Europe promotes motorcycle tourism at Rome motorcycle show Motodays
According to the 2017 report of the World Travel & Tourism Council tourism today accounts for over ten percent of global gross domestic product.
In Europe the areas that benefit the most are those in the regions that are in receipt of economic assistance – exactly the areas that motorcyclists like to visit!
During the 10th edition of the motorcycle fair Motodays in Rome (8-11th March) FIM Europe was active promoting motorcycle tourism. Discussions were held with visitors about the benefits of the FIM Europe approved hotel scheme.
Also presented was the FIM Europe training course for professional Moto-Tour assistants. Those who successfully pass this course gain a certificate that is becoming recognised by companies involved in this sector.
Secretary-General of FIM Europe Alessandro Sambuco commented:
“It is not the first year that we are close to Motodays, having offered the FIM Europe Patronage and being present in 2013 to introduce the European Motorcycling Senior Conference. – And this year presenting these two important initiatives in our Touring Area. It is my opinion an important way to show what we are doing in favour of our Member Federations in the Touring activities at European level.”
