FIM joins Forum for Mobility and Society
The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) is pleased to announce it recently joined the Forum for Mobility & Society. As the global advocate for motorcycling, FIM is actively engaged in beyond sport activities through the promotion of motorcycles as a sustainable transport mode to address future mobility challenges. Furthermore, FIM also actively supports among other topics, tourism, gatherings and leisure, and the inclusion of disabled people in motorcycling.
Established in 1999, the main objective of the platform is to bring together the transport and mobility community to debate, draw long-term perspectives and develop visions for the future. By bringing together key institutional actors including Members of the European Parliament, representatives from the European Commission, industry experts and society at large, the Forum examines current debates on mobility issues from a variety of perspectives so that new solutions may be found. Stressing the importance of mobility for the European citizens and economy and placing mobility topics on the agenda of the decision-makers is the number one priority of the members.
FIM is honoured to become a member of the Forum and appreciates the unique opportunity to actively contribute, together with the EU transport and mobility community, to the discussions that will shape the future of our mobility and to address meaningful questions for society and mobility. As member, FIM is looking forward to sharing its long-standing expertise in the areas of road safety, connected and automated mobility and sustainable mobility.
