Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
FIM holds observer status in CEN the European Standards Committee. We are monitoring the development of new standards for clothing that is sold to riders as personal protective equipment. (PPE).
For the last two years FIM has been attending the “Stop the Crash!” campaign events which feature motorcycle ABS as well as car safety technology. The most recent edition was held in Shanghai, China in October 2017
AHO is a simple low cost safety technology fitted to all new motorcycles and scooters sold in the developed world. There is no “on/off” switch for the headlamp. Instead the headlamp lights up immediately the engine is started.
